Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the month. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and you'll keep access to Active Mode features until then.

Your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 30 days after cancellation. During this time, you can export your data or reactivate your subscription. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our servers. We recommend exporting your opportunity data before canceling if you want to keep a record.

Absolutely. We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use OAuth for email access, so we never see your password. We only request read-only access to your email and only process messages that appear to be recruiting-related. We're SOC 2 Type II compliant and undergo regular security audits.

Currently, we support Gmail (both personal and Google Workspace accounts). Support for Outlook/Microsoft 365 and LinkedIn messaging is coming soon. If you need support for a specific provider, let us know!

Your 7-day free trial gives you full access to Active Mode features—no credit card required to start. At the end of the trial, you can choose to subscribe to either Passive Mode ($10/mo) or Active Mode ($100/mo), or simply let the trial expire with no charge. Plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis. You'll be charged on the same day each month that you started your subscription. We accept all major credit cards. You can update your payment method or cancel anytime from your account settings.

Vigil uses AI to identify and process only recruiting-related emails—messages from recruiters, hiring managers, and companies reaching out about job opportunities. We don't read or process personal emails, newsletters, or other non-recruiting messages. You can review which messages Vigil has processed at any time in your dashboard.

Vigil's AI is highly accurate at identifying recruiting emails and extracting key information (company, role, compensation, etc.). However, no AI is perfect. If you notice an error, you can manually edit any opportunity details, and your corrections help improve the system over time. Active Mode subscribers can also provide feedback on AI-drafted responses before sending.
